Vision

Paychex, a global leader in payroll, HR, and workforce solutions, recognized the need for a centralized space to manage and visualize critical business operations in real time. Their Bangalore office required a command center that could offer complete situational awareness, enable rapid decision-making, and support scalable infrastructure for future growth.

The goal was to design a visually powerful, user-friendly, and highly responsive AV environment that could bring together multiple data streams—ranging from live dashboards to security feeds—on a single, unified display platform. With ease of control and flexibility as top priorities, the solution needed to empower their operations team with instant access, smooth transitions, and centralized command over all content and devices.

This vision laid the foundation for building a cutting-edge video wall command center, capable of supporting Paychex’s commitment to operational excellence, data-driven decision-making, and seamless team coordination.

Solutions

16-Panel Video Wall Display

A 16-display video wall (each 55" LG panel) was installed to create a unified, high-resolution visual interface. The video wall spans the entire command center wall, designed to display dashboards, live feeds, and mission-critical data in real time. The expansive format allows multiple data streams to be monitored simultaneously without visual clutter.

Datapath Video Wall Processor

At the core of the system is a Datapath network-based video wall processor, responsible for managing content distribution and layout control. Integrated with 20 Datapath transmitters and receivers, the processor allows operators to dynamically switch sources and rearrange layouts based on operational demands—all without delay or system interruption.

Intel NUC Workstation

A compact yet powerful HP Intel NUC PC, paired with a keyboard and mouse, serves as the main user interface to access system tools, dashboards, and streaming content. This compute solution balances performance and form factor, ideal for 24/7 operational needs.

Bluestream HDMI Extender Sets

To maintain video quality over distance, 16 Bluestream HDMI extender sets were used. These devices ensure high-definition signal integrity across the command center, eliminating latency and minimizing the risk of transmission failures.

Enterprise-Grade Network Switch

A dedicated network switch was deployed to link all AV hardware, ensuring seamless and high-bandwidth communication between the video wall processor, transmitters, receivers, and control systems. This backbone supports smooth transitions and system stability under continuous load.

iPad-Based Touch Control

For ultimate ease of use, the entire system is controlled via an Apple iPad configured with a custom control interface. Operators can select inputs, toggle layouts, and manage the video wall with simple touch commands—streamlining workflows and eliminating the need for complex hardware panels

Results

  • Enhanced real-time visibility and situational awareness: The 16-panel video wall enabled Paychex teams to monitor multiple live data streams, alerts, and operational dashboards simultaneously. This allowed for faster identification of anomalies and improved coordination across departments, creating a more proactive and informed decision-making environment.
  • Faster and more efficient response to operational events: With dynamic source switching and an intuitive iPad-based control system, teams could adjust visual content instantly during high-pressure scenarios. This significantly reduced the lag between issue detection and response, improving overall operational agility.
  • Improved cross-functional collaboration and coordination: By consolidating key information sources into one centralized visual hub, the command center facilitated better communication between IT, operations, and security teams. Everyone had access to the same real-time data, eliminating silos and improving team alignment during critical workflows.
  • Lower operational overhead and future-ready infrastructure: The user-friendly control interface minimized the need for technical intervention or extensive training. At the same time, the modular design and network-based architecture provided a scalable foundation that can support future expansions, including AI integrations or broader facility monitoring systems.
